This place was pretty good and unique! They have Tibetan, Nepali, Indian cuisine. We tried the chicken momo's, which were a subtle spices flavor. We tried the thentuk (Tibetan style hand pulled noodle soup), which I would definitely recommend. It was a tomato based soup that was quite delicious. Mango lassi is $6 each and pretty delicious, which it was larger. The decor is amazing and feels pretty cozy. Check in on yelp and you can get a discount on the check if you pay with cash!

Came here with my parents for dinner since we wanted them to try momos! The restaurant is nice inside with a homey feel. Our waitress was super attentive. We tried a bunch of dishes including beef momos, chicken momos with johl on the side, lollipop chicken, 2 orders of garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, the Nepalese goat curry dish, and beef chow mein. We came here for the momos and we're honestly a bit disappointed. They weren't as juicy as some of the Momo trucks we tried. No white or hot sauce to drizzle either. We never had johl before (+$2 charge which we weren't aware of). The johl is served cold which surprised us. We really liked the chicken lollipop, garlic naan, and beef noodles. Everything was served super hot. Solid spot if you're looking to try Nepalese food for the first time but it is lacking a bit in flavor...

We visited this culturally diverse Queens neighborhood in search of authentic Tibetan cuisine to celebrate Losar (Tibetan New Year). Alas, most were closed for the holiday, however Himalayan Yak was opened and we decided to try it. The menu is not what is listed on Yelp nor online so be aware and it is on the smaller side. They do offer some Tibetan, Nepalese, Bhutanese and Indian dishes. The restaurant is inviting, clean and tastefully decorated and we were warmly welcomed. We loved the beautiful heavy copper mugs on each table which kept our water nice and cold. At the suggestion of our waitress, we started off with the Tibetan blood sausage and while the casing was chewy (we easily removed) the meat was very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend. We also ordered the Shop Bhaklep which are essentially Tibetan meat pies and they were delicious. We also enjoyed the Thenthunk noodle soup (we chose vegetable but meat is an option), which was a huge portion. The noodles were thick and hearty and the broth flavorful. The butter tea was fantastic! A check in on Yelp included a 20% discount (cash only) so that was a plus. We enjoyed all of the flavors of our dishes and the relaxed atmosphere. Service was wonderful and the prices most reasonable. We could hear the rumblings of the elevated subway line nearby, but we really didn't pay much mind after figuring out what it was and we became immersed in the food. Clean restrooms and on street parking, and close to subway and plenty of taxis in the area.
